A Look at Roman Gillingham

Dr John Porter, author of Gillingham- The Making of a Dorset Town, Museum Curator Peter Barker and local archaeologist Peter Cox put their various expertise together to create a picture of Gillingham during the Roman occupation. 

We can expect to hear about what north Dorset was like at the time of the Roman conquest, the archaeological remains of Roman occupation around Gillingham and Milton, and the evidence for a Roman road passing through Gillingham.
