Successful Coffee Morning

Gillingham Local History Society held a Coffee Morning in The Town Hall on Saturday 20 October, 2007 to raise funds for the Museum.

The event was organized by committee member Lyn Light. Other members and friends manned stalls for Tombola, Cakes, Christmas Cards, Bring & Buy and Jewellery. David and Joan Hiscock served coffees and teas and were ably assisted by their young grandson Robert.

The sum of £247 was raised after expenses. Chairman Sam Woodcock was extremely pleased with the results and said he wished to thank Lyn, all the helpers and those that attended for their tremendous support.
